Crimson Moon

I love this piece because it's actually 3 paintings in 1. 

In normal light, it's a black-and-white scene with an ordinary moon, made unique only by its unusual size — a visual representation of the way the moon captivates. 

In darkness, it shifts into a blood moon and the sky appears as if it’s melting or breathing with its swirling strokes. 

Under blacklight, the scene transforms once again, to a moon from another world, glowing and psychedelic.

This moon exists in a more unassuming state in the light, and becomes spectacular once in the dark — much like the real moon itself. 

I hope the person who ends up receiving this piece loves experiencing it in person as much as I do.
